College Football Opening Weekend

So I guess this past weekend was College Football Opening Weekend... Aaron was looking forward to it all week, and to be honest, I'm really not a big football at all. In fact, I think football is kind of boring and pretty ridiculous. People actually get a kick out of watching guys run back and forth on a field tackling other guys??? BUT...seeing Aaron get so excited to watch football got me kind of excited, cuz he's just so darn cute! So I decided to be a good wife and make the sacrifice to spend some time with my I just had nothing else to do.

So Saturday after Aaron and I ran some errands, we came home and Aaron changed from his USC t-shirt into his USC JERSEY, and turned the TV on to watch some football. I was half-heartedly watching, but this was Aaron for at least 3 hours straight...

I got a little more into it bit by bit, and before I knew it, I had a USC t-shirt on! This is during a commercial break near the end of the USC game:

And then the BYU game...

Needless to say, I'm probably still not a huge football fan, but I'll admit it was kind of entertaining to see USC kill Virginia, UCLA's nail-biter against the Volunteers (adding to the credibility of the PAC-10), seeing the Mountain West represented by BYU beating Northern Iowa, and the Utes upsetting Michigan in the big house.

P.S. Aaron helped me write the above paragraph.
Another P.S. Can't wait for September 13th when Ohio State beats USC!!!!!!! :)

  1. That's nice of you to be so supportive of your hubby :) I don't think I'm quite as nice to Adam!
So my cake... yes, the entire thing is fondant icing... it took me forever but I loved making it. I'm trying to get good enough to be able to do real wedding cakes someday :)
I saw Alaina this past weekend, she's just as crazy as ever... she had all sorts of bladder/bowel stories for Adam and I and we were in tears we were laughing so hard! She said she started a blog but has nothing to put in it, ha, so we'll see if it ever takes off.

  2. Love Aaron in the jerseys! He's basically in the same exact body position in both pictures. Hilarious!

  3. This is SO Philip on game days for BYU and ASU. I'm sure if he had jerseys, he'd put them on :)

Just so you know, I was totally not into football when I met Philip, but once he explained the rules and I actually understood WHAT THE HECK WAS GOING ON, it's actually become kind of fun to watch. Although, I much prefer watching it at the stadium rather than infront of a TV. The crowd atmosphere is what I like the best.

    Lunch next Saturday???

  4. That is the meanest one-two combo set of jerseys I have ever seen! You know brother read this blog with tears of joy in his eyes. What a weekend!!!! Everything went right! Please BYU/Utah go undefeated til the end. It will be the biggest game in our rivals history. Oh, and Whitney...Ohio State?...I guess you still have yet to be introduced to PAC-10 football. Consider yourself warned. J-
