best day of our lives

Thursday, June 18, 2009 was a big day for us! For these reasons:
  • Aaron accepted a job and is officially employed (he starts July 6th!)
  • Aaron FINISHED his undergraduate degree!
  • We celebrated our 1-year anniversary!
Aaron had a busy morning but around 1:30 PM he was home and telling me to pack! I assumed we were going shopping at the outlets in Park City and staying at his Mom's house since she was out of town last week. So we made the drive up to Park City, and when we got there Aaron got "lost." I thought it was a little strange because Aaron doesn't usually get lost, or at least admit that he's lost. But I was just excited to get to the outlets so I didn't pay much attention to it. All of a sudden he turns into a Marriott resort in Park City and says that before we go shopping he wanted to "check into our hotel..."

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was not expecting that AT ALL and was soooooo excited! I love Park City and I loooooooove Main Street! Our room was perfect and it was right at the bottom of Main Street. This day will seriously go down in history! :)
We postponed shopping at the outlets for the next day, and instead walked/shopped on Main Street and had dinner. We ate at No Name Saloon. We were a little hesitant at first because it was basically a bar and people were only there for happy hour. But trust me, this place did not disappoint! It was seriously DELICIOUS. Aaron got the buffalo burger and said it was the best burger he's ever had, and that this place was his 2nd favorite restaurant.
I got the corned beef panini (basically just a ruben sandwich) and it was seriously so good!
After dinner we took full advantage of the pool and hot tub. The next morning we slept in and went to breakfast at a deli on Main Street. I got a jumbo cinnamon roll (of course) and Aaron got the french toast.
We went shopping Friday afternoon at the outlets and then spent the rest of the day in Salt Lake. We didn't come home until Saturday night, just in time for Father's Day [next post].....
