birthday boyz!

So Aaron's 30th birthday was on Thursday, and our nephew Logan had his first birthday on Friday....pretty huge milestones and definitely a reason to celebrate! So we got together with family and celebrated Johnson-style....lots of delicious food and good conversation. :)

First things first.... Jason made some crazy good jalapeno poppers--they were the perfect amount of spice and let's face it, anything is delicious when it's wrapped in BACON. They even looked pretty, so me and Suzanne started taking pictures in an effort to get the "perfect shot." And even though everyone made fun of us for taking pictures of jalapeno poppers, we kept at it and this one was my fave of the ones I took....
The birthday boys....
Logan got a big huge piece to dig into and was a little tentative at first...we weren't sure if it was the taste or the fact that he had greasy/oily/buttery frosting on his little fingers. Either way, he eventually warmed up to it and enjoyed some funfetti with the rest of us. Too cute...
Aaron with his two sisters, Suzanne and Amy. They take good care of us and we're lucky to live so close!
And just to end the little picture sequence, here's one of the husband and the wife....

Happy Birthday Aaron & Logan!

  1. Wow. Those peppers look like love wrapped in bacon. That must have been marvelous.

Anyway, thanks for the tips Whit, I loved that site you referred me to, I'm going to have to try it out! (Also, did you put your acrylic transfers directly on oil paint, or was it Acrylic paint behind it?)

  2. We had a great time. Thanks again for the cake and gift for Logan! Delicious, as usual. Can't wait until we hang out again....hopefully on the hike!

  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHNSON!! it's been a while, just wanted to say hi and hope you had a good one! :) --Fletch

  4. The party & food was delicious, but the company was the best part. Love the pepper pics!
