mirror mirror.

when i was up in utah last month i found this adorable mirror at a thrift store and snatched it up as quick as i could for only two dollars! i wasn't really sure if i liked the dingy brownish color, but i was loving the leaf frame and i mean....it was only two dollars!

i'm not much of a DIY [do-it-yourself] kind of person at all, but somehow i managed [with the help and encouragement of my husband] to refinish the frame of the mirror and spray paint it a nice, clean white. this was actually my first time doing something like this, so thank heavens i didn't totally ruin it! the hardest/longest part was having to strip off the original layers of paint, which i actually tried to avoid doing.....but my husband, being the thorough kind of person that he is, convinced me that it would turn out better if i did. he was probably right, but i can see myself skipping this step if i ever do something like this again. i'm so impatient with that kind of stuff! anyways, really happy with my new mirror. the white looks much better. <3
