yesterday i was feeling a bit a lot unmotivated, until i remembered that the next day (today) was a new month! i perked right up at the thought of having a fresh start, and decided on some things i wanted to work on in the month of May, which all ended up having a common theme. i wrote them down on a piece of paper yesterday, and copied it onto my chalkboard today so that i could see them often. i'm grateful for the new month, although [no offense to May] i'm actually kind of hoping the next 30 days go by quickly. so, meanwhile!...this month i hope to...
eat less [refined sugar]
spend less
worry less
learn more
appreciate more
make more.
i'm ready for you, May. <3
i feel like you've been digging around my brain with these words - exactly what I've had on my mind! Thanks for posting this, Whitney, it's exactly what I needed to start this lovely month of May.
ReplyDeletei'm with you, less sugar and less spending !! Happy MAY DAY! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! And i love how you make even the most simple things seem so glamorous and fun! I think I need a big fun chalkboard like that :)
ReplyDeletei love your top! It's so cute. It's a really great idea to goals for each month.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea, friend. I need to think of something similar for myself. Sometimes, less really is more- hopefully this will kick me out of my unmotivated slump. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy may day! Those are some really great goals! I'm a new reader by the way, and I am really enjoying your blog. Your photos are beautiful and so is your style :)
ReplyDeleteI need a reminder like this as well. I eat way, way too many sweets!
ReplyDeleteIt didn't even hit me that this new month is a fresh start. It seems freeing somehow. I love your chalkboard list!
ReplyDeleteJune is my favorite month too:) But I love May and the anticipation of June, so I don't want it to go by *too* quickly.
ReplyDeleteAnd...those are great goals; I have some very similar ones at the moment:)
This is adorable. You're adorable. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have a chalkboard in your house. And I love your goals. Those are definitely things that I should work on as well.
ReplyDeletepretty great goals whitney! perhaps i should try to eat less sugar too...
ReplyDeleteI love your chalkboard! What a great way to keep track of your goals.:-) Also, I couldn't help but notice your lovely necklace in the photos. Who makes it?

ReplyDeleteMy "More & Less & Must" List for welcoming Summer
i am with you on every one of those "less" goals. i think i'd like you an awful lot in real life :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also with you on the "less" list...even though I usually only spend my money at thrift stores, I still spend it. ;) And I need to create more and not compare myself to others. :) Thanks for the reminder that we have a new month to achieve to goals! :)
ReplyDeletea lovely list indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at how complicated my last birthday list was, I've been thinking of writing a much more simplified version this year. Something like this.
ReplyDeleteI feel like everything you do is always so put together and darling. Teach me your ways eh? :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great month!

ReplyDeletei totally made myself a goal to eat less sugar, too. and then i realized it's my birthday month. and then i made cupcakes. HELP!
