We went to The Getty museum in LA over the weekend to celebrate, which had the most incredible views of Los Angeles, delicious food, great art & architecture, and of course there is that train ride! I went here for my first time a few months ago, and have been telling Aaron we need to come back ever since, so this was finally the perfect excuse. I really, really love this place. As we were walking through I told Aaron I want our future house to be just like it (ha)...huge white walls, cement & hardwood floors, big windows, skylights, beautiful views...you know, just the basics. Totally doable. ;)
I love the Getty! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI loved my day trip there when visiting my best friend in LA-I also posted a blog on it. It is spectactular architecture, my favorite part was the garden.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I've never been and now I'm adding to my places to visit next time I'm in SoCal.
ReplyDeleteIt's so adorable that you guys celebrate that kind of anniversary! I thought I was the only one obsessed with anniversaries. I think I might use them as an excuse to give my husband more kisses and hugs than normal!
What a sweet moment to celebrate. I love appreciating those small mile markers.
ReplyDeleteAh I looove the getty! Especially the garden. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI ADORE the Getty! My husband and I went last year for the first time and were just completely blown away: the art... the views... everything! We will be celebrating 5 years together on the 10th (married for nearly 3 months of it) and I think my husband would say that he is the one that needs more kisses and cuddles than the average person, haha! He always tells me that he can't help but be needy when it comes to my love, haha!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I visited the Getty Villa a couple years ago and loved it. The Getty Center is definitely on my list of places to visit soon. (Aka, hopefully before I move back to Utah in 2 weeks- fingers crossed!)
ReplyDeleteLovely :) I really like your yellow top, and how light all these pics are. Exactly like how I've always imagined LA.
ReplyDeleteI still just love all the little milestones you two celebrate. You're an inspiration!

Deleteamazing! adorable and sweet that you celebrate those special moments (in years).
ReplyDeletea lovely way to celebrate the "first kiss" anniversary. the view really is something special. i think i would be slightly freaked out by the vastness of it, but i would still love to visit the getty and see that view for myself.

ReplyDeleteWhere did you get your yellow/white/gray shirt? It's darling!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds perfect. And I LOVE your outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI love the getty! So funny you mention your future home being modeled after it, because we have my husband on video saying the same thing :) Oh, how i miss LA!
ReplyDeleteOof you really suit the yellow, i love it! Beautiful pictures too xxxx
ReplyDeleteYou know, I had just been to the Getty over the weekend too! It was also my first time in LA so it was a great way to get the big picture of the city from such a great hill.
ReplyDeletehaha, seems like we have a bit in common. My husband always tells me I'm obsessed with him and want/like to snuggle too much, I just tell him I may have a problem but I don't want to fix it! :)
ReplyDeleteOf course the title of your blog was exactly what drew me in and made me sure I was going to enjoy following along.
We also went to the Getty last summer when my husband was in LA for a few months for an internship. It was beautiful and this images definitely made me miss it. Wish I had done a better hob of capturing it when I went. :)
i absolutely love this! lovely blog girl! keep 'em comin'!
ReplyDeletelove, rach.

Woah! Great shots! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos! looks like a wonderful day! :)
ReplyDeleteA very late comment, but: The Getty Museum has got to be one of my favorite places/buildings anywhere, for the architecture (of course), but especially the views. It's a must-see for me when I go to LA, and I tend to spend more time outside than in at the exhibitions. These are amazing photos. I'm so impressed by the photo of the front steps without any people! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletebeautiful place!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy day ❤
