Brunch at Brenda's French Soul Food Cafe:
Waiting to be seated at Pizzeria Delfina for dinner on Tuesday night:
It was a long wait (we had way too much time on our hands, obviously.)...
Soo worth it. I love this pizza.
We stayed in Marin City (on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge), and our hotel had bikes available to use (for free!) so we took a little ride on Wednesday morning to explore:
Also, our hotel gave out s'mores kits (also for free! We loved this place!) at night, and heaven knows we would never turn down the chance to have a s'more.
We ate at Tartine on Wednesday afternoon, and ended up eating most of our desserts before our actual meal was brought out. Not even complaining...
Driving down Lombard Street (above), and Golden Gate Bridge in all its foggy glory (below).
(Photos from another business trip with Aaron—this time to San Francisco.)
As we drove into San Francisco last Monday after we picked up our rental car, I was a little bit intimidated, as I am at first with all big cities that I visit—mostly because of the possibility of me having to figure out & actually use public transportation by myself (the horror!). But San Francisco is an easy place to love and it didn't take long for me to warm up to it. And luckily I never had to use public transportation while Aaron was working, thank goodness. We ate sooo much good food, and our hotel in Marin was pretty awesome. Free bikes and s'mores?? Honestly, I'm not sure what more a girl could ask for.
The s'mores was probably our favorite part of the trip. Us sitting together by the fire, talking and laughing and cooking up our mallows, enjoying our time together and Aaron trying to give me tips on how to cook mine better (haha, he knows I can be impatient sometimes. Always looking out for me, that cutie.). I've said it before and I'll say it again, Aaron & I are just simple folk. There we were right next to a big city, and what we enjoyed most were our walks and bike rides around Marin, and our s'mores nightcaps. Which reminds me, I need to get some marshmallows and graham crackers stat, and put our stove to good use.
P.S. Aaron's co-worker's wife & I did some shopping while the boys worked, and maybe spent a little too long at Sephora. It started out innocent, just us looking at the nail polishes, but one thing led to another & next thing I know I'm wearing Make Up For Ever's red lipstick! Aaron wouldn't touch me with a 10-foot pole as long as I had it on (exaggerating only kind of...he's slowly coming around on the lipstick thing ;), but it was fun while it lasted.
