easter eggspiration // art for art's sake.

This here is what you could call "art for art's sake", since painting these eggs was a bit impractical and served no purpose other than it was just an idea I had that I thought might look neat. I first saw this pin that reminded me of my blue triangle pillow, and then I started seeing other patterns/colors/paintings that I'm surrounded by in my apartment that perhaps might translate well onto an egg. I really had such a ball painting these, and I'm starting to think egg-painting is totally my niche. Surely that's an untapped market?

Either way, I'm really looking forward to Easter Sunday. In addition to the remembering the beautiful religious significance of this holiday, I also have plans to make a yummy dinner, and of course we get to be dramatic about baby Wyatt's first Easter. I have to be honest though, I'm not sure I'll be able to bring myself to peel these egg shells when the time comes (as it always does). Remind me next year to paint wooden eggs so they can be decoration...not sure why I didn't do that this time around. Lesson learned.

Happy Easter! <3

P.S. Had to throw some gold leaf in there—a little throwback to these gold-dipped notebooks I made a couple years ago.
